About this Ketubah Original Text Style Orthodox Aramaic (Click here to view entire wording) Font Style The font in this piece is an exact copy of the font that was originally hand written by Tami and was especially created for this Ketubah. Design
The base of this peace is a mosaic-inlaid road which leads to the future. Hence its name.
The perimeter is defined by script taken from the Song of Songs. There is a Magen David at the top, crowned by the word “Shalom”. The bottom of the Ketubah is supported by a Menorah, embellished by the words “Mazal Tov”. There is an arch above the Menorah, with the text ”Od yishamah beharei Yehudah Kol Sasson v'Kol Simcha, Kol chatan v'kol Kalah” (there will be heard in the Judean hills the sound of rejoicing and the sound of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride).
On the right side are two trees of life (one is partially hidden behind the text). Two birds are holding the bridal canopy (chupah) and the veil. There are two Shabbat candles, the symbol of a Jewish home near the upper left area. In the upper left corner are a fish, a traditional symbol of good fortune, and a violin, symbolizing traditional music. Above the text are an abstraction of the gates to Jerusalem.
All around the Ketubah are floral embellishments.

Comments
This ketubah was originally designed in 1984 as a numbered limited edition lithograph with 200 copies made. We later discovered a printing error in it and ceased selling it. It has been redone in 2009 for digital processing with the previous errors corrected and is available for order. If the writing is not significant for your purposes, or if you are interested in it as a collector’s item of Judaica, the original lithographs are available at a reduced price of $100, as is, with the details to be filled in by yourselves or your rabbi. For details please contact us.
